What Happened To Nairobi Man Who Jumped From Matatu To Chase After Phone Snatcher

New details have emerged what happened to a man who jumped off from a bus to chase after a phone snatcher in Nairobi.

What appeared to be an ordinary journey turned into a dramatic scene after a passenger identified as Kelvin reportedly found himself chasing a phone snatcher through the busy streets of Nairobi.

According to details emerging from the incident, Kelvin was travelling in a matatu heading towards Rongai on Saturday at around 7pm when the unexpected incident happened.

Kelvin was reportedly using his phone when a suspected phone snatcher moved close to the bus and forcefully grabbed the device.

The suspect is said to have taken advantage of the busy traffic and the close distance between pedestrians, motorists and public service vehicles before making his escape.

However, instead of remaining inside the matatu and watching his phone disappear, Kelvin made a daring decision to pursue the suspect.

In a dramatic moment captured on video and later shared widely online, Kelvin is seen forcing his way through a small window of the matatu as he attempted to get out and chase the alleged phone snatcher.

The incident reportedly left other passengers and people nearby stunned as Kelvin jumped out of the moving or slowing vehicle in an attempt to recover his phone.

The suspected phone snatcher was seen running away, allegedly using the crowded Nairobi streets to his advantage.

The suspect reportedly moved through narrow corridors and busy sections of the road, making it difficult for Kelvin to catch up with him.

Bodaboda riders and motorists were also seen at a distance as the chase unfolded, with several people appearing to watch the unusual scene.

Despite Kelvin’s determination, his efforts eventually proved futile. The suspected phone snatcher managed to escape with the device, leaving Kelvin without his brand-new phone.
