SAD: Kenyan Woman Exposes How Ladies Offer Her Ksh 50,000 To Infect Their Cheating Husbands With HIV
Kenyan TikToker and HIV awareness advocate Liza Achieng has spoken out about disturbing messages she says she has received from women allegedly seeking revenge against unfaithful partners.
According to Liza, some women have contacted her through phone calls and social media after finding her contact information online. She claims that some offered her as much as KSh 50,000 to have sexual relations with their husbands or boyfriends and deliberately expose them to HIV.
Liza said the requests have deeply concerned her because her public advocacy is focused on educating people about HIV, challenging stigma and encouraging those living with the virus to seek appropriate treatment.
She has previously spoken openly about her own HIV status and explained that she takes antiretroviral medication consistently. She says she has reached an undetectable viral load. Under established HIV treatment guidance, a person who maintains an undetectable viral load does not sexually transmit HIV to an HIV-negative partner.
The TikToker urged women who discover that their partners have been unfaithful to avoid retaliatory actions that could put other people’s health at risk. Instead, she encouraged them to consider healthier ways of dealing with relationship problems, including ending harmful relationships when necessary.
Liza also encouraged people who may have been exposed to HIV or are at risk of infection to consult qualified healthcare professionals about testing and prevention options. She highlighted newer long-acting prevention approaches, including lenacapavir, while stressing that HIV prevention medicines do not protect against other sexually transmitted infections.
She said she intends to publish screenshots of some of the messages she allegedly received, but plans to conceal the identities of the individuals involved. Her aim, she explained, is to demonstrate the seriousness of the requests without exposing private information.
The 25-year-old has previously discussed being diagnosed with HIV in May 2025 after experiencing repeated illnesses. She also revealed that a former boyfriend later apologised to her before his death in a road accident.
Despite the challenges associated with stigma, Liza has continued using her personal experience to promote HIV awareness. Her advocacy encourages regular testing, adherence to treatment and greater understanding of people living with HIV.
She maintains that her message is centred on prevention, treatment and education, rather than revenge or the deliberate transmission of HIV.
