Museveni Tells NRM MPs to Adopt Balaam’s Anti-Corruption Approach, Track PDM Funds

KAMPALA — President Yoweri Museveni has urged NRM Members of Parliament to return to grassroots leadership, citing Local Government Minister Balaam Barugahara’s approach to fighting corruption as a model for addressing problems in communities.Museveni, who is also the NRM national chairperson, told lawmakers to engage citizens directly, monitor government programmes and ensure that Parish Development Model (PDM) funds reach their intended beneficiaries.
