Kaira says confrontation suits PTI leadership, state will complete its job

PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that the current PTI leadership in KP seeks confrontation with the federation, adding that perhaps they believe that confrontation suits their politics.

Talking to media in Mandi Bahauddin, Kaira said that there is severe tension between the two parties. He called that way should be paved for negotiations. PPP leader said that both sides demonstrated considerable flexibility during the negotiations. He said a deadlock arose due to those within the PTI who were not part of the talks.

Kaira said emergency rule and Governor’s rule were constitutional and legal, yet undesirable.

He said that former KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur also led long marches, but the current Chief Minister has been tasked with doing even more than that.

The situation does not appear to be heading towards stability; if a conflict arises, there is a risk of significant damage. Two of the country’s provinces are already facing a difficult situation due to terrorism.

Kaira said, “If negotiations fail due to the obstinacy of any PTI leader, the state will have to do its job”.
