Juvenile hit by car in Cape Girardeau, police say

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (Heartland News) – Police responded to an incident in Cape Girardeau on Sunday morning.

According to Patrolman Bobby Newton, officers were called to a collision involving a juvenile on a scooter on October 4.

Ptlm. Newton said a passenger car was traveling eastbound on Bloomfield Road when it struck the juvenile, who was riding the scooter southbound on S. Hanover Street.

He said the juvenile was injured and had to be transported to a hospital by EMS.

No other details have been released at this time.
