Diplomatic Corps attends Governor Sindh’s dinner to honor Towel Manufacturers Association
Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi hosted a dinner in honour of the Towel Manufacturers Association of Pakistan, attended by senior members of the diplomatic corps and representatives of the business community.
Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Consul General of the Sultanate of Oman, Engineer Sami Abdullah Al Khajari, Chinese Acting Consul General Feng Deng, Qatar Consul General Nayef Shaheen R.M. Al-Sulaiti, German Consul General Thomas Eberhard Schultze, Malaysia Consul General Muhammad Younus Ibrahim, Indonesia Consul General Mudzakir, Iranian Consul General Akbar Essa Zadah, the newly appointed Consul General of Iraq, UAE Vice Consul Abdullah Almehri and the Vice Consul of Bahrain were among the distinguished guests.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi highlighted the significant contribution of Pakistan’s towel manufacturing industry to the country’s exports, employment generation and economic growth.
He appreciated the participation of the diplomatic community and emphasized the importance of strengthening Pakistan’s trade and economic relations with friendly countries.
The Governor said that Pakistan’s textile and towel manufacturing sector has strong potential in international markets and that greater cooperation between the business community and diplomatic missions can help create new opportunities for exports, investment and economic partnerships.
The participation of diplomats from Oman, China, Qatar, Germany, Malaysia, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, the UAE and Bahrain reflected the strong engagement of Karachi’s diplomatic community with Pakistan’s business and industrial sectors.
The event also provided an opportunity for diplomats, government representatives and business leaders to exchange views on enhancing trade, investment and economic cooperation.
