Salman Akram Raja had posted his comments on social media platform X detailing the talks and explaining the reasons behind their breakdown. In response, the Information Minister published a point-by-point rebuttal addressed directly to the PTI Secretary General.
Lets be honest and put things in perspective regarding the talks and the stance taken by your party:
1. PTIās lame old excuse that all parties should have been consulted has outlived its life in the past three years, Federal government did exactly that but you never responded to our proposals. It is only now when your KPK government is politically weak, you have started responding to the Federal Governmentās calls for joint mechanism to fight terrorism, that too only as a strategy to save your political capital in KPK. Your own spokesperson is denying it and is giving justifications in favour of terrorists.
2. ā Double standards and hypocrisy seem to be your policy; when you say that PTI KPK government has been taking steps to fight terrorism and is serious in this matter.
On the contrary; your narrative on terrorism is in favour of terrorists. KPK Governmentās policy only encourages and supports spread of terrorism in the province.
3. ā Some of the questions which require your attention; why doesnāt the KPK Government attend Federal Apex Committee meetings? Why doesnāt the KPK Government hold its own Apex committee meetings to review terrorism like other provinces hold their meetings? Why doesnāt the CM and his cabinet condemn the TTA regime for sponsoring terrorism inside Pakistan and conduct of cross border attacks on the posts and drone attacks by them? Has the KPK Government ever shown any outright support to the valiant Armed Forces and the police who have laid down thousands of lives fighting terrorism in KPK? Why hasnāt the KPK Government not implemented NAP as per which clear action is required against illegal spectrum, illegal Afghan immigrants, measures for capacity enhancement of Police and CTD?
4. Please do tell ; Why donāt you attend janazas of Shuhada? Why donāt you visit the security forces / police posts to show your support with them? How many times you have visited erstwhile FATA areas and took interest in their governance and development issues?
5. Once Afghan Taliban regime in support of terrorism in KPK sends drones and tashkeels why do you keep quiet? How many times have you stood shoulder to shoulder with our valiant FC soldiers standing guard on Pak Afghan Border against these terrorists ? Please give some answers before ranting confusion and useless rhetoric only.
5. ā This is an old strategy of PTI that when under pressure, they start talking of consultations and joint actions but on ground they do the exact opposite.
6. ā Due to non-implementation of NAP by the KPK Government not only has terrorism thrived in KPK but its economy has been badly shattered for which only PTI is responsible.
7. ā So stop selling this false narrative of collective consultations, jirgas or any other method as this means nothing on ground other than delaying tactics.
8. ā This time the State wonāt let you embroil and confuse people by your old age rhetoric and verbose that has already brought KPK to the brink of collapse. No More!!!!
