Players await PCB decision on NOCs: Pakistan Champions' owner

Pakistan Champions owner Kamil Khan says the team remains hopeful that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will review its decision and allow the side to take part in the World Championship of Legends.

Khan said the players had applied for no-objection certificates (NOCs) through the required procedure and were now awaiting a positive decision from the PCB.

The Pakistan Champions management respects the board’s decision and remains in talks for a positive resolution, he said.

“PCB is our own cricket board, and we will not go against any of its decisions,” Khan said.

The statement came after sources reported that the PCB refused on Saturday to issue an NOC to the Pakistan Champions.

As a result, the team did not play its scheduled match against Bangladesh today, according to the sources.

The PCB had instructed the team a week earlier not to seek an NOC for the event, sources said.

All Pakistan Champions players are currently in Dubai.

Last year, India refused to play against Pakistan Champions. Following that refusal, the PCB announced that it would not issue NOCs to the team in future.
