Ndindi Nyoro Urges Uhuru To Remain Quiet Even After President Ruto’s Repeated insults, States These

Kiharu MP and People’s Party of Kenya leader Ndindi Nyoro has urged former President Uhuru Kenyatta not to respond to insults from President William Ruto. He said that task should be left to him and his allies.

Nyoro spoke on Saturday October 3 during the funeral of Mwalimu Jackson Karua. The late Karua was the father of People’s Liberation Party leader Martha Karua. The service was held at Mugumo Primary School in Gichugu in Kirinyaga County.

Addressing Uhuru directly Nyoro asked him respectfully to stay calm. He noted that Ruto had a habit of hurling insults. In his words that job belonged to people like Ndindi Nyoro and Nyandarua Senator John Methu.

The remarks were captured in a clip that spread quickly on social media. Many online viewers saw it as a pointed political message delivered at a solemn family occasion.

The funeral attracted several opposition leaders. They included Kalonzo Musyoka, Fred Matiang’i, Edwin Sifuna, Eugene Wamalwa, James Orengo, Justin Muturi and Kawira Mwangaza. Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta also attended the send-off.

Mwalimu Jackson Karua was a long-serving teacher. He died on September 27 at the age of 98. He was buried at the family home in Kathande after the service.

The comments fit a recent pattern from Nyoro. He has publicly defended Uhuru against perceived insults from Ruto’s side. At the same time he has positioned himself firmly in the opposition ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Although the gathering focused mainly on condolences Nyoro used the platform to show readiness to confront the government on Uhuru’s behalf.

The statement comes at a time of rising political temperatures across the country. Opposition leaders have been strengthening their ties as they plan for the next general election.
