Kadiyam Kavya Re-Nominated To Health Committee
WARANGAL: Warangal MP Dr Kadiyam Kavya has been re-nominated as a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on health and family welfare for 2026-27. The Rajya Sabha Secretariat communicated her nomination on Saturday, effective from September 26.
A doctor by profession, Dr Kavya has been raising public health issues, including expanding cancer screening programmes for early detection and promoting modern medical technology and artificial intelligence-based healthcare solutions.
Dr Kavya said her objective was to ensure access to quality healthcare services in rural and backward areas. She had also raised in the Lok Sabha the health risks associated with the use of the herbicide Paraquat Dichloride.
Dr Kavya said she would continue to work through the committee on public health, disease prevention, cancer screening and healthcare infrastructure.
