Georgina Rodriguez calls out Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus over Cristiano Ronaldo treatment
She used a quote falsely attributed to Sir Alex Ferguson in the now-deleted post.
Georgina Rodriguez criticised Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus over his treatment of Cristiano Ronaldo in a now-deleted post on Instagram.
Ronaldo walked out on Portugal's camp on Wednesday (September 30), just days after Jesus decided against using the forward against Norway, despite sending him to warm up for around 30 minutes.
An emergency meeting involving Ronaldo, Jesus and Pedro Proenca, the president of the Portuguese Football Federation, took place after the game, but it appears tensions are still very much present.

A report from El Chiringuito's Edu Aguirre, who is a close friend of Ronaldo, claims the five-time Ballon d'Or winner feels 'betrayed' by what has happened, with Jesus making his feelings clear on the matter.
Rodriguez, the wife of Ronaldo, reportedly took to her Instagram story on Saturday evening to criticise Jesus, who has promised to tell his side of the story after Portugal's game against Norway on Sunday.
According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, her post was based on a quote falsely attributed to former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
The false quote read: "If Jorge Jesus knew in his heart that he didn't intend to use him, then why did he call him up in the first place? To take a stand? That's not authority, that's insecurity."
Below the above, Rodriguez is also said to have commented: "I don't know how this man can bear the name of Christ." The report claims she deleted the post a short time later.
After Ronaldo returned home on Wednesday, he issued a statement on social media to confirm that the truth behind his departure will be revealed "in time".
He wrote: "After the press conference of the national team and following a conversation with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation, I have decided to leave the national team training camp."
Ronaldo added: "In time, I will tell all the Portuguese the truth about the reasons that motivated me to leave."
Speaking in the build-up to Portugal's Nations League clash against Denmark on Thursday, Jesus played down reports of a bust-up with Ronaldo.
"There was no incident whatsoever," he said. "Any player – and I was a player myself – when you spend 20 or 30 minutes warming up and then don't get on, no-one is happy about that."
Jesus also revealed that he told Ronaldo before the match that he would not start against Denmark but might be introduced later on in the contest.
"Afterwards, as coach, I decided not to bring him on," added Jesus. "It's nothing to make a fuss about."
