Former Uhuru’s CS Amina Mohamed Spotted At Martha Karua’s Father’s Burial In Kirinyaga

Former CS Amina Mohamed made a rare public appearance on Saturday as she joined mourners attending the funeral service of Mwalimu Jackson Karua, the late father of PLP leader Martha Karua.

Amina was among the guests who gathered at Mugumo Primary School in Gichugu, Kirinyaga County, for the ceremony.

Family members, friends and political leaders travelled to the venue to pay their final respects to the veteran educator and stand with the Karua family.

The funeral brought together several prominent political figures, including retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, former CS Fred Matiang’i, Ndindi Nyoro, James Orengo and Justin Muturi.

The late Mwalimu Jackson died at his home in Kirinyaga on September 27, 2026.

Martha Karua had earlier recalled spending time with her father and siblings on the day of his death, including singing his favourite gospel hymn.
