Elon Musk ends relationship with partner Shivon Zilis ‘without warning’

The tech executive whose relationship with Musk developed after she became pregnant with their children, opened up about the split in a post on X on Friday, October 2. She shared an emotional statement and screenshots of what appeared to be their final text exchange.

“It’s hard to go from in love to let go in a week with no warning, but that’s just how it is sometimes,” she wrote.

Despite her heartbreak, Zilis said she still cares deeply for Musk and will continue to support his happiness.

“I’m hurting, but care deeply about E and will always be cheering for his happiness. God speed, Elon, the world is lucky to have you,” she added.

Shivon Zilis also reflected on the role she and their children played in Musk’s life, describing their family as a place of happiness and comfort away from the billionaire’s often intense professional and public life.

“We were always his safe space,” she wrote, adding that their home was “always full of happiness and love, not war, in contrast to his otherwise militant existence.”

The couple share four children: twins Strider and Azure, born in 2021, daughter Arcadia, born in 2024, and their youngest son Seldon, whose birth was announced in early 2025.

Alongside her statement, Zilis posted a screenshot of recent messages between her and Musk.

In the exchange, Zilis told Musk, “It was really wonderful to see you for breakfast. Love you very much,” to which he replied on September 24, “Love you too.”

Representatives for Musk did not immediately respond to requests for comment, while Zilis could not be reached for additional comment.
