City with Open Hand turns 75: Can Chandigarh grow without losing itself?

Perhaps the bolder question is: Why turn Chandigarh into just another city when India could build more Chandigarhs? The goal should be an India dotted with cities that breathe, walk and shine like Chandigarh, not a Chandigarh that gasps amidst an urban sprawlOne of the biggest fears of any Chandigarhian is a city that looks like Gurugram on a very rainy day, or like one of its satellite cities such as Zirakpur: cramped, chaotic and stripped of greenery.
