Veteran Kenyan broadcaster Fred Obachi Machoka was left blushing after his wife, Sophie, made an emotional declaration of love to him during a live television appearance.

Machoka appeared visibly shy and emotional as his wife spoke. He repeatedly moved his hands in and out of his pockets before placing an arm around her shoulder.

“I love you too,” he responded, prompting an affectionate reaction from those around them.

The couple’s heartfelt exchange quickly attracted attention online, with many Kenyans praising their enduring relationship. Several viewers described them as a model couple and congratulated them for maintaining their marriage over the years.

Machoka has remained one of Kenya’s most recognisable broadcasters, with a career spanning five decades. His influence, however, extends beyond broadcasting. He recently defended his decision to continue working in radio, saying his income helps support his business, Fred’s Ranch and Resort, which he said provides employment for nearly 100 young people.
