The federal government has raised the price of petrol by Rs2.10 per litre and high-speed diesel by Rs0.30, with the new rates in force until October 5.

Petrol will now cost Rs392.76 per litre, while high-speed diesel is priced at Rs399.64 per litre. The government announced the changes on Friday under the daily petroleum pricing formula. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) issued the notification, setting the new prices until October 5.

The latest increase came a day after the government raised petrol prices by Rs3.26 per litre and cut the price of high-speed diesel by Rs1.01 per litre on Thursday.

Following Thursday’s revision, petrol had reached Rs390.66 per litre, while high-speed diesel had been fixed at Rs399.34 per litre, according to the government notification.

The back-to-back changes continue the daily price-setting process for petroleum products.
