Ngorongoro and Serengeti parks’ beauty captivates visiting Indian travel agents
NGORONGORO: INDIA’S travel agents have expressed their admiration for the beauty of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti National Park following a familiarisation trip organised by the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) in collaboration with the Tanzanian Embassy in India.
The trip, aimed at promoting Tanzania as a destination in the international tourism market, brought together 13 travel agents from various cities across India.
Speaking after visiting the Ngorongoro Crater, which has been described as the Eighth Wonder of the World, the agents said Tanzania was blessed with unique tourist attractions.
“We have travelled to many countries around the world, but what we have seen here in Ngorongoro is truly different. The combination of breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife in one area and outstanding conservation demonstrates its uniqueness. Indeed, this is a place every Indian should visit at least once in their lifetime,” one of the agents said.

In Serengeti, the agents witnessed one of the world’s greatest wildlife spectacles, including thousands of wildebeest and zebras during their migration, as well as the Big Five.
Another agent said the Serengeti had exceeded their expectations.
“We had heard a lot about the Serengeti through films, but seeing it with our own eyes is a completely different experience. It is vast, natural and well preserved. We saw lions, leopards and elephants at close range. The accommodation services and hospitality of Tanzanians are excellent,” the agent said.
TTB Marketing Officer Michael Ndaisaba said the Indian market was important and growing rapidly, adding that the visit by the travel agents would significantly contribute to increasing the number of tourists from Asia.
The agents’ familiarisation trip is expected to conclude in Zanzibar, where they will visit beach and cultural tourism attractions.
