“Ndio Huyu” Woman Who Predicted About Zimbabwean Tycoon’s Death 16 Months Ago

Photo of Zimbabwean national and activist who predicted about death of tycoon Wicknelll Chivayo to be killed through helicopter crash emerges, resurfacing old social media posts that have attracted renewed attention following the businessman’s tragic death.

Susan Mutami, a Zimbabwean activist and businesswoman based in Australia, has come back into the spotlight after posts she made more than a year ago appeared to predict the death of businessman Wicknell Chivayo in an aircraft crash.

Mutami became widely known in Zimbabwe following her outspoken comments about political figures and her claims involving prominent personalities.

Her public profile grew significantly after 2021, when she made allegations concerning her alleged relationship with the late General Sibusiso Moyo and began making strong statements about people in political and business circles.

Her old posts on X, formerly known as Twitter, have now resurfaced online after Chivayo died in a helicopter crash in Zimbabwe.

On May 8, 2025, Mutami reportedly posted a warning about Chivayo, saying: “Wicknell will die in a plane crash very soon. Save this post.”

She returned to the subject on May 28, 2025, making another prediction that appeared even more direct.

“He’s actually going to die in a plane crash. Save this post,” she wrote.

At the time, the posts did not attract the level of attention they are receiving now. There was no known incident involving Chivayo that immediately connected the statements to an actual aviation tragedy, and many social media users appeared to treat the remarks as another controversial prediction from the outspoken activist.

More than a year later, however, the old posts have taken on a different significance following Chivayo’s death.

On September 30, 2026, Chivayo, aged 43, and his wife Lucy Muteke died after a helicopter crashed in Marondera Rural, southeast of Harare.

News of Chivayo’s death quickly spread across Zimbabwe, with tributes and reactions emerging from friends, relatives, business associates and members of the public.

As details of the crash circulated, social media users began searching through Chivayo’s past, eventually bringing Mutami’s 2025 posts back into public discussion.
