Britain’s second-biggest shopping centre to be SOLD for £516million ahead of massive overhaul

THE SECOND largest shopping centre in the UK has now been sold in a multi-million pound deal.The process to sell the shopping hub was launched earlier this year.The Metrocentre in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, has now been sold to real estate giant, Land Securities (Landsec).
