Here’s the weather outlook for South Africa’s nine provinces.

The South African Weather Service has issued weather updates stating that fine, cool conditions are expected in some provinces this week.

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Ubuntu local municipality of the Northern Cape.

Gauteng can expect morning fog patches in the south-west, otherwise partly cloudy and cool.

Mpumalanga, the Place of the Rising Sun, can expect partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and rain in in the Lowveld. There will be morning fog patches in places.

Morning fog patches in the central parts, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers in the Lowveld. It will become cloudy in the south-western Bushveld.

North West, known as Bokone Bophirima in Setswana, can expect cloudy and cool.

In the Free State, partly cloudy and cool.

Partly cloudy, windy and cool to warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers over the central parts where it will be cloudy. The wind along the coast will be fresh south-westerly.

Morning fog patches in the south-west, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the northwest where it will be partly cloudy. Scattered showers and rain are expected in the south-east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is Very high

The Western half: Cloudy in places along the coast, otherwise fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy in places over interior with isolated showers and rain, but scattered west of Port Elizabeth. Cloudy and warm with isolated showers and rain, but scattered along the coast west of Gqeberha. It will be partly cloudy in the north. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

The Eastern half: Cloudy in the south-west, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but cool in places in the north. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to cold with isolated showers and rain in the northeast. The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly north of Richards Bay at first, otherwise moderate to fresh north-easterly, becoming strong at times in the south.
