One Shot Dead as Unknown People Raid Police Station

KASESE — One person has been shot dead after a group of armed attackers raided Bugoye Sub-County Police Station in Kasese District in the early hours of Thursday, October 1, 2026, in an attempted disarmament of an officer on duty.The attack occurred at about 2am when a group of approximately six people armed with pangas stormed the police station and attempted to seize a firearm from an officer on duty.
