The Chief of Krobo, Nana Asa Akonpanin, has announced the dedication of his community’s traditional stool land to Jesus Christ after the community’s deity, Ani Koko Bosom, popularly known as Krobo Bosom, was stolen.

Nana Asa Akonpanin recounted that after the theft, he consulted his elders and reasoned that if thieves could steal the god, it could not protect the people.

“Someone stole our god, and if someone has been able to steal the god, how can it protect this community?” he stated.

According to the chief, the incident pushed him and his people to turn away from the deity and embrace Christianity and prayer.

He explained that with the full support of the community, he took the decision to hand over the stool land to Jesus Christ.

Since the dedication, the chief says the community has witnessed a growing embrace of the Christian faith among residents, coupled with visible progress and development in the area.
