Sentuo Group Limited has donated food, drinking water and essential protective supplies to support households and communities affected by the floods that hit parts of Ghana on June 29, 2026.
The consignment was presented to the Office of the President at Jubilee House in Accra for onward distribution as part of the national flood-relief effort.
The donation includes 4,000 bags of rice weighing 25kg each, 800 bags of sugar weighing 50kg each, 400 boxes of granular maize, 1,000 pairs of Wellington boots, 4,000 bags of sachet water, 1,000 mosquito nets, 500 cartons of Abena Sunflower Oil and 300 cartons of Cindy Sardines.
The rice accounts for 100 metric tonnes, while the sugar weighs 40 metric tonnes, bringing the confirmed combined weight of the two commodities to 140 metric tonnes.
No additional tonnage has been assigned to the maize, sachet water, oil or sardines because their individual unit weights were not provided.
The supplies are intended to address some of the immediate needs of people affected by the floods, including food security, access to drinking water and protection from the conditions associated with flooding.
Rice, sugar, maize, cooking oil and sardines can provide essential food supplies, while sachet water supports immediate hydration needs. The Wellington boots and mosquito nets are also expected to provide practical protection during the relief and early recovery period.

The presentation was led by Sentuo Group Chairman Ningquan Xu.
The delegation also included Head of Operations Eric Lin; Jiang Wenjie; President Samson Deen, International Business and Coordination Director; and other members of staff.
The contribution was received on behalf of the state by officials including the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah; Legal Adviser to the President, Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew; and Presidential Adviser Nana Yaa Jantuah.
The donation forms part of private-sector support for the national response to the impact of the June 29 floods, which disrupted livelihoods and damaged homes and property in affected communities.
For the relief effort, the availability of food, water and basic protective supplies is particularly important as affected households work to recover from the immediate effects of the disaster.
The presentation at Jubilee House also provides an institutional channel through which the donated items can be coordinated with the broader relief effort and directed towards communities according to assessed needs.
The intervention highlights the role of private-sector organisations in supporting government-led disaster response, particularly when communities require urgent assistance following emergencies.
