“No price tag”-Hearts of Oak replies to rumours on B. Asare

Accra Hearts of Oak has responded to rumours linking Benjamin Asare with a huge transfer fee after his great performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
‎
‎In a statement released Tuesday, July 15, 2026, the Phobians called reports that they had placed a valuation on their goalkeeper “false and without factual basis.” The club said it has not authorised anyone to quote a price for Asare, and that any figures flying around on social media are pure speculation.
‎
‎Hearts admitted they’ve seen the posts and the chatter, especially after Asare’s standout displays for the Black Stars in the World Cup. But according to management, no official asking price has been set.
‎
‎That doesn’t mean the door is closed, though. The club said it remains open to offers that are in the best interest of both Asare and Hearts. “As a professionally run football club, Hearts of Oak remains open to receiving and considering offers,” the statement read. The key point: nothing has been communicated yet.
‎
‎The Phobians also sent a warning to media houses and fans. They urged everyone to disregard unverified transfer reports and to check with Hearts of Oak’s official channels before publishing. The club says it’s about protecting the team’s integrity and avoiding distractions.
‎
‎And despite all the transfer noise, Hearts made one thing clear — they’re proud of Asare. The club congratulated him for representing Ghana well on the world stage and promised full support for his growth. For now, there’s no price tag on the goalkeeper. Just focus on football.
