South Africa’s payments regulator, PASA,winds down after 30 years

The Payments Association of South Africa (PASA), the body that has governed interbank transaction infrastructure in South Africa for over 30 years, is being dissolved. Its regulatory and operational functions will transfer to PayInc, a new national payments utility, and the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
