A tragic road accident at Suhyin on the Koforidua–Tafo Highway has claimed the life of Patrick Osei, popularly known as Pomo, a Marketing Manager at Promasidor Ghana.
The fatal incident occurred on Saturday, May 2, 2026, sending shockwaves through the marketing and corporate community, particularly among colleagues and business partners who knew him.
According to eyewitness accounts, the late Osei was driving towards Koforidua at top speed when a Hyundai H400 vehicle, which was reportedly attempting to overtake a motorcycle, suddenly veered into his lane. In a desperate attempt to avoid a head-on collision, he is said to have swerved off the road.
His vehicle subsequently crashed into a tree along the highway, resulting in severe injuries that led to his immediate death.
The incident has once again raised concerns about dangerous overtaking and reckless driving on major highways in Ghana, particularly on busy stretches like the Koforidua–Tafo road, where traffic congestion and impatience often contribute to fatal accidents.
