A growing number of airlines have also announced the cancellation and suspension of flights to destinations across the Middle East as coordinated military strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran continue to disrupt regional airspace and heighten safety concerns for commercial airlines.

PREMIUM TIMES earlier reported that several international carriers had begun cancelling or rerouting flights after airspace restrictions were imposed across parts of the region, forcing airlines to adjust operations to safeguard passengers and crew.

Saudi Arabia’s national carrier, ‘Saudia’ , said it had cancelled flights to and from Amman, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, Moscow, and Peshawar due to what it described as the “ongoing current situation.”

The airline added that the cancellations would remain in effect until 23:59 (UTC) on March 2. It also said affected passengers would be notified immediately of any new developments and urged travellers to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport.

Saudia affirmed that the safety of its guests and flight crews remains its highest priority and that further updates will be shared via its official communication channels.

Ethiopian Airlines confirmed the cancellation of flights to and from Amman, Tel Aviv, Dammam, and Beirut due to the “current security situation in the Middle East.”

The carrier said it is closely monitoring developments and advised passengers to check updated flight information before travelling.

Similarly, Kenya Airways temporarily suspended passenger and cargo flights to Dubai and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates following ongoing airspace closures.

The airline said affected customers are being contacted directly regarding rebooking or refund options.

Meanwhile, Air Arabia announced temporary flight suspensions linked to regional airspace restrictions, noting that passenger and crew safety remains its highest priority.

The expanding list of suspended routes highlights the growing impact of regional tensions on international aviation.

Airlines continue to adjust schedules as airspace restrictions evolve, while passengers travelling to or transiting through the Middle East are urged to monitor official airline channels for real-time updates.
