Tema, Jan. 31, GNA – Madam Irene Naa Torshie Addo, a former Member of Parliament for Tema West, has commended party officials, security personnel, and delegates for their conduct during the New Patriotic Party’s presidential primary.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, Madam Naa Torshie described the exercise as peaceful, orderly, and credible.
She said the absence of violence, disruptions, or major disputes demonstrated the party’s maturity, adding that internal contests should not create divisions capable of weakening the NPP going into national elections.
Meanwhile, during the election, she urged delegates to place the collective interest of the party above personal or factional considerations, stressing that the choice of a flagbearer should be guided by competence, integrity, leadership ability, and the capacity to unite the party ahead of the 2028 general election.
Madam Naa Torshi called on party leadership to continue promoting transparency, fairness, and inclusiveness in all internal processes and expressed confidence that a united and focused NPP would be well positioned to present a strong candidate capable of leading the party in the next general election.
