NDC to register new members from February 10 to March 30 — General Secretary

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced a schedule for returning registers to branches and registering new members ahead of its internal activities.

The party said the registers will be returned from January 30 to February 10, while the registration of new members and updating of existing records will take place from February 10 to March 30.

Addressing a press conference in Accra on Thursday, January 29, NDC General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey said the process will be managed by regional and constituency Secretariats under the supervision of the national executive committee.

“The registers of books are going to be returned to the branches between the period 30th of January to the 10th of February.

“The responsibility for this activity lies with the regional and constituency Secretariats, and the supervision will be done by the national, regional, and constituency executive committee,” he said.

Fifi Kwetey stressed that “This is an important assignment of registering new members for the party and also updating our register.”

Meanwhile, the ruling party has set December 19, 2026, as the date to elect its new national executives.

The exercise will take place during a National Delegates Conference, on the same day as part of the party’s reorganization.

The process will follow a bottom-to-top approach, starting at the branch level, then moving through constituency and regional structures before culminating at the national level.
