However, Omije Ojumi’s interment was interrupted following a commotion that took place at her graveside between her estranged husband’s family members and their kids.
According to reports online, the estranged husband of the singer, who is reportedly based in the United States, had requested to speak with their children just by her graveside.
Omije Ojumi’s family members, however, resisted the request, stating that the graveside was not the place for him to demand to speak with the children who were mourning the passing of their mum.

This led to a shouting match between one of the estranged husband’s sisters and the late gospel singer’s son after the aunt claimed he was a member of their family and that they loved him.
The distraught son of the deceased singer fired back shouting, “I am not. I am not!” before other family members held him and tried calming him down.

Meanwhile, Omije Ojumi’s, family has dismissed the speculations online about begging for financial assistance for the burial of the deceased music star.
The singer’s brother-in-law, Femi Eretan, while addressing guests during the service of songs and artistes’ night held on Wednesday, condemned a viral video, in which a self-acclaimed prophet claimed that the family was publicly soliciting funds and seeking the intervention of gospel artistes to conduct the burial.
Eretan firmly denied the allegation and warned of legal action if no evidence is provided to substantiate such claims.
