Koforidua, Jan. 26, GNA – The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of All Nations University, Koforidua, has donated 50 bags of cement to support the construction of a health sciences block at the institution.
The block, when completed, will be named after Dr James Orleans-Lindsay, Chairman of the Emergency Medicine Technology (EMT) programme.
It will comprise 10 lecture halls, two skill laboratories for EMT practice, four heads of department offices, 10 faculty offices, and washrooms.
Presenting the donation, Mr Emmanuel Teye, SRC President, said the gesture was to contribute to the University’s vision and development.
“It is important for the Council to contribute its quota to the institution since it would eventually inure to the advantage of students,” he stated.
Receiving the items, Professor Samuel H. Donkor, President of All Nations University, expressed gratitude to the SRC, noting the positive impact the donation would have on the project.
He emphasized that leaders who give selflessly create a culture of collaboration, trust, and empowerment, urging future SRC leaders to emulate the current leadership.
Prof Donkor further appealed to Non-Governmental Organizations and philanthropists to support ongoing projects, including an ultra-modern hostel, through donations of building materials, skills, and other resources.
All Nations University offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programmes in fields such as oil and gas engineering, electronic and communications engineering, business administration, and biblical studies.
Graduate programmes include MBA Accounting, Human Resource Management, Finance, Hospital Management, Information Technology, MPhil Business Administration, MPhil Theology, and MSc Cyber Security.
