The Kade Circuit Court on Tuesday, January 20, has fined the five suspects who were arrested in connection with the assault of Michael Quayson, a teacher at the Kade Senior High Technical School, GHC 3,800 each.
The Court, presided over by His Worship George Davis Ofori, specified that GHC 1,800 out of the fine is payable to the court, while GHC 2,000 is to be paid as compensation to the victim.
The court further ruled that failure by any of the convicted individuals to pay the total fine will result in a six-month prison sentence.
Those convicted are Felix Darquah, Isaac Baah, Richmond Yeboah, Edward Baah, and Maxwell Kwasi Antwi.
The attack, which occurred in October 2025, follows the teacher Michael Quayson’s refusal to allow the suspects cheat during the WASSCE examination.
