\n\t\tThe \u2018Unavailable\u2019 crooner disclosed on his verified X handle on Tuesday, revealing plans to be in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Wednesday to collect his membership card.\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tThe development comes barely two weeks after Governor Adeleke officially unveiled the Accord Party as his new political platform ahead of the 2026 governorship election in Osun State.\n\t<\/p>\n
\n\t\tAdeleke had announced his defection on December 9, 2025, at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Osogbo, in the presence of national and state leaders of the Accord Party.\n\t<\/p>\n
\n\t\tSpeaking at the event, the governor explained his decision to dump the Peoples Democratic Party for the Accord Party, citing the leadership crisis rocking the PDP at the national level.\n\t<\/p>\n
\n\t\t\u201cI joined the Accord Party more than a month ago, precisely November 6th, as a platform to seek re-election in 2026. This was after weeks of consultation and deliberations with stakeholders and opinion leaders,\u201d Adeleke had said.\n\t<\/p>\n
\n\t\tThe governor added that the party\u2019s philosophy of welfarism aligned with his administration\u2019s focus on citizens\u2019 welfare.\n\t<\/p>\n
\n\t\t\u201cWe opted for the Accord Party because its mission of welfarism aligns with our passionate focus on citizens and workers\u2019 welfare,\u201d he stated.\n\t<\/p>\n
\n\t\tAdeleke formally announced his resignation from the PDP on December 1, confirming that he had submitted his resignation letter on November 4, 2025, to party officials in Sagba Abogunde, Ward 2, Ede North Local Government Area.\n\t<\/p>\n
\n\t\tDavido had earlier reacted to his uncle\u2019s resignation from the PDP by reposting the announcement on social media with the caption, \u201cJeje\u2026\u201d\n\t<\/p>\n
