The appearance of social media entrepreneur Frederick Kumi, popularly known as Abu Trica, along with two other suspects at the Gbese District Court over their alleged role in defrauding elderly victims of more than $8 million, was marked by dramatic scenes.<\/p>\n Some supporters of the Swedru-based Abu Trica stormed the court premises in large numbers to show solidarity with him.<\/p>\n Watch the moment Abu Trica appeared in court under heavy security<\/p>\n In a video shared by GH Brain on December 23, 2025, one of the young men who spoke to the media at the court pleaded with authorities to release Abu Trica, whom he described as his brother in the \u2018browsing\u2019 business.<\/p>\n According to the young man, he believes Abu Trica has never committed any wrongdoing, contrary to the allegations levelled against him by the authorities.<\/p>\n \u201cAbu Trica has never committed any wrongdoing. We are all in the browsing work together and we need our brother home. We plead on his behalf because he has never committed any wrong deeds,\u201d he said in Twi.<\/p>\n When further asked by the media whether he was aware of the charges levelled against Abu Trica, including allegations of cybercrime and money laundering, he said he was aware but still expressed optimism that Abu Trica would be released.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m aware [of the charges against Abu Trica]. They want to deal with our brother but we believe that by the grace of God he will come home. We know all that is going on and we are with him together.
