Entertainment pundit Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng has urged the courts to cite gospel musician Papa Shee for contempt following his recent comments on the legal dispute surrounding Daddy Lumba\u2019s funeral.<\/p>\n Speaking on United Showbiz on November 30, 2025, Vida expressed strong displeasure over Papa Shee\u2019s claim that lawyers for the opposing side were allegedly seen coming out of a judge\u2019s chamber, a statement he made while reacting to the Kumasi High Court ruling that went against his preferred (Akosua Serwaa) side.<\/p>\n According to Vida, such comments amount to an attempt to discredit the court\u2019s integrity.<\/p>\n \u201cI can stand before God and say you\u2019re a problem. Your understanding and interpretation are a problem. You went to court to say that you\u2019ve heard that your opponent\u2019s lawyers came out from the judge\u2019s office. What are you trying to insinuate, she said. <\/p>\n Vida explained that legal expert Lawyer Fati had previously outlined the correct process for authenticating foreign documents in court, a process she claims the legal team of Lumba\u2019s wife, whom Papa Shee strongly supports, failed to follow.<\/p>\n ‘Controversies seem tailored to Delay Lumba’s funeral’ \u2013 Vida Adutwumwaa<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we spoke to lawyer Fati, she took us through the process in which you can authenticate the document you brought from abroad. <\/p>\n \u201cYour lawyer failed and that\u2019s what you should be bold enough to tell him because all the four things you took to court, none were signed,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n Vida further added, \u201cIf you\u2019re a lawyer, you should know the basic things you should do when you\u2019re bringing some documents from abroad before the court would approve it.\u201d<\/p>\n She emphasised that Papa Shee\u2019s continuous attempts to question the credibility of the judge and the judicial process should not go unaddressed.<\/p>\n \u201cYou sit here and discredit the judge\u2019s work.
