Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bj\u00f6rkegren believes his side outperformed Morocco in their WAFCON 2025 semifinal clash, despite falling short of reaching the final.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ghana was narrowly missed out on the final after a defeat to the host nation on penalties.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Bj\u00f6rkegren expressed pride in his team\u2019s effort and rued the missed opportunity.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think we were the better team if you look at stats from the game,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
While Ghana\u2019s campaign ends in disappointment, their display against a strong Moroccan side earned praise for tactical discipline and resilience.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ghana took a first half lead through Stella Nyamekye but the Moroccans found an equalizer in the second as the game travelled all the way into penalty shootout.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Black Queens missed two out of their four penalties while Morocco scored all four to progress into the final.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Despite the loss, Bj\u00f6rkegren\u2019s comments highlight the team\u2019s growth and competitiveness on the continental stage.\u00a0<\/p>\n
