Former Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko forward Obed Owusu has shared his thoughts ahead of the highly anticipated FA Cup semifinal clash between his two former clubs, calling it a crucial encounter with continental stakes.<\/p>\n
Speaking ahead of the fixture, Owusu noted that the winner of the match will be one step closer to CAF Confederation Cup qualification, making it a high-stakes battle for both sides.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s an important game and both teams stand a chance to represent Ghana in Africa,\u201d he said. \u201cSamuel Boadu wouldn\u2019t want Kotoko to beat him for the second time, whereas Kotoko would want to win and progress to the final,\u201d he told Kwame Sekyere Darko on Agyapa Total Sports in Kenyasi.<\/strong><\/p>\nChelsea\u2019s head coach Samuel Boadu previously suffered a defeat to Kotoko in the league, and Owusu believes that adds extra motivation for him to get revenge.<\/p>\n
Despite the tension surrounding the clash, the former striker expects an entertaining and competitive match.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo it will be a good game, and I believe the good side will win,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
The semifinal promises to be a thrilling affair, with both clubs chasing silverware and a return to continental football.<\/p>\n
