{"id":335319,"date":"2025-04-29T10:28:56","date_gmt":"2025-04-29T10:28:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2025\/04\/29\/even-poor-people-like-you-think-you-can-talk-boldly-how-about-a-rich-man-like-me\/"},"modified":"2025-04-29T10:28:56","modified_gmt":"2025-04-29T10:28:56","slug":"even-poor-people-like-you-think-you-can-talk-boldly-how-about-a-rich-man-like-me","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2025\/04\/29\/even-poor-people-like-you-think-you-can-talk-boldly-how-about-a-rich-man-like-me\/","title":{"rendered":"Even poor people like you think you can talk boldly; how about a rich man like me?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ghanaweb.com\/imagelib\/pics\/439\/43924096.295.jpg\" alt=\"Kennedy Agyapong, former NPP presidential aspirant\" title=\"Kennedy Agyapong, former NPP presidential aspirant\" width=\"295\" height=\"150\" \/> <span class=\"image_caption\"><span>Kennedy Agyapong, former NPP presidential aspirant<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"-webkit-user-select: none; -webkit-touch-callout: none; -moz-user-select: none; -ms-user-select: none; user-select: none;\">\n<p id=\"article-123\">Former NPP presidential aspirant, Kennedy Agyapong has made a comment that seems to be rattling the nerves of a section of the public.<\/p>\n<p>Kennedy Agyapong, addressing New Patriotic Party&#8217;s faithful at Berekum in Bono Region during the ongoing &#8220;Thank You Tour&#8221; led by Ghana&#8217;s former Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, made some statements that have cast him in a negative light.<\/p>\n<p>The former lawmaker, who appeared furious while speaking to the crowd, exclaimed that there are some loudmouths within the New Patriotic Party who have become vociferous just because the party has made them rich.<\/p>\n<p>He added that such persons were nobodies but for the party.<\/p>\n<p>Kennedy Agyapong&#8217;s remarks were indirectly targeted at the party\u2019s Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe Abronye, who spoke earlier during the function.<\/p>\n<p>Abronye criticised some leading members of the party who, he noted, through their disparaging remarks they made against the NPP and a candidate prior to the 2024 elections, gave the ruling National Democratic Congress a perfect arsenal to use against them which resulted in the humiliating election results for the NPP.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cArrogance is what has brought us here&#8230;If you insult someone and later come to talk about unity, for me, that unity is artificially created,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Kennedy Agyapong, who didn&#8217;t take kindly to Abronye&#8217;s comments although the latter didn&#8217;t mention his name, gave a blistering reply.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c&#8230;nobody is a better man than the other but because of this party, some people talk as if they are men. They are not men&#8230;With some, we buy cars for them and they will come out to do \u2018too known\u2019,\u201d he fumed.<\/p>\n<p>In his further attempt to spite Abronye, Agyapong took a swipe at people living under poor conditions saying \u201cI have money; I don\u2019t beg.
