Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has commended Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine for withdrawing the ambulance case against Minister of Finance Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and businessman Richard Jakpa.<\/p>\n According to Kpebu, Dr. Ayine’s decision has spared the nation further embarrassment.<\/p>\n In an interview with Accra-based Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem on January 30, 2025, which was monitored by GhanaWeb, Kpebu stated that the withdrawal was long overdue, especially after the alleged leaked tape between Jakpa and former Attorney General Godfred Dame surfaced.<\/p>\n Martin Kpebu, who is also a member of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee, expressed enthusiasm about the new development.<\/p>\n He said, “I applaud the Attorney General for saving us from this great embarrassment. The High Court should have struck out the case immediately after the tape leaked.”<\/p>\n Kpebu further criticised Godfred Dame, former President Akufo-Addo, and Ken Ofori-Atta over the leaked tape, calling them a “disgrace” to Ghana.<\/p>\n He also accused Godfred Dame of unfairly targeting individuals, like ACP Benjamin Agordzo, who was linked to an alleged coup plot.<\/p>\n “We must not condone this act in any way, especially when someone tries to convince a witness in a case to lie. Godfred Dame, Akufo-Addo, and Ken Ofori-Atta have been a disgrace to Ghana, and now we see their end. Clearly, you don\u2019t do that.”<\/p>\n \u201cThat is the same thing Godfred Dame did to ACP Agordzo. He wasn\u2019t part of the coup plotting, yet Godfred Dame forcefully added him to make the case bigger. Luckily, I was with Agordzo, so he heard it himself.
