Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has commended Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga for his diplomatic approach and his ability to foster consensus between the Majority and Minority caucuses in Parliament.<\/p>\n
Speaking on Point of View<\/em> with Bernard Avle on Channel One TV<\/em> on Wednesday, January 29, Afenyo-Markin highlighted Ayariga\u2019s role in facilitating dialogue and ensuring cooperation between both sides of the House.<\/p>\n His remarks come in the wake of the Minority\u2019s initial decision to withhold approval for Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Minister-designate for Lands and Natural Resources.<\/p>\n According to Afenyo-Markin, the Minority members of the Appointments Committee had reservations about Buah\u2019s failure to apologise for some disparaging remarks he made against Akufo-Addo.<\/p>\n However, the Minority Leader credited Ayariga\u2019s leadership and diplomatic skills for steering productive discussions that ultimately resulted in the approval of the MP for Ellembelle to assume his ministerial position.<\/p>\n \u201cAyariga\u2019s diplomacy is at an all-time best.
