Dear GhanaWeb, <\/p>\n My wife and I have been married for eleven years and have two kids. I wanted three, but she insisted that two was enough. Just last month, she received a call from an unknown number while I was sending some files to her phone. <\/p>\n I trust my wife deeply, so I rarely worry about anything she does because I know she would never cheat on me, and I wouldn\u2019t do the same. I passed her the phone, and she seemed troubled after taking the call. <\/p>\n I couldn\u2019t hear the conversation, but I assumed the caller said something that upset her. She seemed moody and wouldn\u2019t talk about it when I asked, so I reluctantly dropped the topic. She then walked away, only to return about five minutes later, dressed up. <\/p>\n I was surprised and asked where she was going because we hadn\u2019t discussed anything. She insisted that she\u2019d tell me when she returned. I agreed but asked if I could drop her off since we only have one car and it\u2019s a long walk to the bus station, but she refused. <\/p>\n I became worried, trying to figure out what the issue might be. I called the kids\u2019 school, they were fine. My parents were also okay. So what was it? <\/p>\n She returned around 11 PM after not answering or returning any of my calls. I was very angry but tried to respect my wife, as she has never hidden anything from me. I knew she would eventually talk. I didn\u2019t rush her; I made sure the kids had dinner and were in bed. <\/p>\n I waited for her to eat, but she said she wasn\u2019t hungry, so we went to bed. Early the next morning, I woke her up to ask what was going on, why she left, and why she seemed troubled after the call the day before. <\/p>\n What she told me was the worst thing I\u2019ve ever heard. She had a son at nineteen with her then-boyfriend, but he denied the child. In order to have a better life, she gave the boy to a friend to raise while she finished her education. <\/p>\n We met at university and married a year after we graduated. The caller was her ex-boyfriend, and he wanted to see her because he wanted to claim his son. I could understand that, but what I can\u2019t forgive is that she kept the child and her past a secret from me. She\u2019s been sending him money and visiting him from time to time without telling me. <\/p>\n The worst part is that, after all these years, she is still in love with her ex. She has been praying for them to meet again. The ex wants her too, and now she is willing to divorce me so they can be together, as she has always wanted. <\/p>\n I cried all morning when she told me. It seemed impossible until she packed her belongings and left the house this past Sunday. I don\u2019t know what to do. She hasn\u2019t answered or returned my calls since then. <\/p>\n I\u2019m scared she may never come back, and I\u2019m in pain. She left the two kids with me.
