Minister-designate of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams has advocated for the need to prioritise the development of sports in Ghana instead of focusing solely on the Black Stars.<\/p>\n

Despite the broader vision of prioritising other sporting disciplines, Adams acknowledged that the Black Stars need significant improvement.<\/p>\n

“Sports is not just about the Black Stars, and sports go beyond football. And even football itself goes beyond the Black Stars,” Adams told GhOne TV.<\/p>\n

“But because the Black Stars are the ultimate, we want to see our Black Stars back again,” he added.<\/p>\n

President John Dramani Mahama nominated Kofi Adams as the Minister-designate of Sports and Recreation in a statement released on January 21, 2024.<\/p>\n

The president noted that Kofi Adams will spearhead affairs in the sports sector, as well as recreational activities.<\/p>\n

His nomination is pending parliamentary approval after he undergoes the vetting process by the Appointments Committee of Parliament.<\/p>\n
