{"id":280926,"date":"2025-01-22T08:36:47","date_gmt":"2025-01-22T08:36:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2025\/01\/22\/my-expectations-were-not-met-dan-kwaku-yeboah-on-kofi-adams-nomination\/"},"modified":"2025-01-22T08:36:47","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T08:36:47","slug":"my-expectations-were-not-met-dan-kwaku-yeboah-on-kofi-adams-nomination","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2025\/01\/22\/my-expectations-were-not-met-dan-kwaku-yeboah-on-kofi-adams-nomination\/","title":{"rendered":"My expectations were not met &#8211; Dan Kwaku Yeboah on Kofi Adams&#039; nomination"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ghanaweb.com\/imagelib\/pics\/802\/80284939.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"article-123\">Renowned sports journalist Dan Kwaku Yeboah has stated that he does not know Minister-designate of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, to be someone knowledgeable in sports.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, he has known Adams since his university days, when Adams was a tutor at Adisadel College and an active member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).<\/p>\n<p>However, Kwaku Yeboah indicated that the Member of Parliament for Buem constituency is known for his political exploits, not his involvement in the sports sector.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on Peace FM, Kwaku Yeboah asserted that Adams&#8217; nomination came as a surprise to him. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;While I was working at ATL Radio, he [Kofi Adams] was also teaching chemistry at Adisadel College, while working for the NDC. He was a spokesperson for President Rawlings before rising to become an MP. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;However, I cannot vouch for his knowledge and expertise in sports, even though he is a competent person in what he does,&#8221; he said in Twi.<\/p>\n<p>The Peace FM journalist noted that he expected former MP for Odododiodio constituency, Nii Lante Vanderpuye, to get the nod to run the sports ministry due to his experience as a sports broadcaster and administrator.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In all honesty, my expectation was Nii Lante Vanderpuye, because he has done it before as an accomplished sports broadcaster. Since we don&#8217;t have the power to appoint, we only share our opinions.
