{"id":277684,"date":"2025-01-15T13:53:04","date_gmt":"2025-01-15T13:53:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2025\/01\/15\/at-what-point-did-anyone-plot-against-you\/"},"modified":"2025-01-15T13:53:04","modified_gmt":"2025-01-15T13:53:04","slug":"at-what-point-did-anyone-plot-against-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2025\/01\/15\/at-what-point-did-anyone-plot-against-you\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018At what point did anyone plot against you?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ghanaweb.com\/imagelib\/pics\/974\/97466592.295.jpg\" alt=\"Henry Asante Twum, Communications Director of the GFA\" title=\"Henry Asante Twum, Communications Director of the GFA\" width=\"295\" height=\"148\" \/> <span class=\"image_caption\"><span>Henry Asante Twum, Communications Director of the GFA<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"-webkit-user-select: none; -webkit-touch-callout: none; -moz-user-select: none; -ms-user-select: none; user-select: none;\">\n<p id=\"article-123\">Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, has hit back at Osei Kweku Palmer, questioning the validity of his claims that the GFA schemed to demote Tema Youth. <\/p>\n<p>During an interview with Asempa FM on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, Palmer alleged that certain individuals plotted against Tema Youth, the club he presides over.  <\/p>\n<p>In response, Asante Twum launched a scathing counterattack, providing updated details regarding how Tema Youth was relegated. <\/p>\n<p>Speaking during an interview with Asempa FM, he revealed that Palmer and Tema Youth\u2019s failure to pay a fine imposed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) left the GFA with no option but to deduct points from the club.  <\/p>\n<p>Asante Twum, referencing what he claimed were official CAS documents, stated that the association ruled against Tema Youth after they failed to provide evidence of fraudulent registration involving their player Joseph Paintsil. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cTema Youth claimed that once they had transferred Paintsil to Young Red Bull Soccer Academy and the club was dissolved, Paintsil automatically became a player of his old team again. But it doesn\u2019t work like that because an official transfer had already occurred,\u201d Asante Twum explained.  <\/p>\n<p>He further disclosed that CAS fined Tema Youth \u20ac150,000, an amount the club was unable to pay, leading to the deduction of points. He emphasized that no conspiracy was involved in Tema Youth\u2019s relegation.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven if you\u2019re fined by the GFA Disciplinary Committee and you don\u2019t pay within the 14-day period, you\u2019re deducted points. So, if CAS says pay \u20ac150,000 to the GFA and you don\u2019t, you\u2019ll forfeit points. Why would you then claim that Tema Youth\u2019s relegation was plotted? At what point did we decide to plot?
