As part of heightened security measures during the festive season, the Greater Accra Regional Police Command has arrested 101 suspects in a series of targeted operations across key areas including Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Nungua, Adabraka, Achimota, East Legon, and Railways.
The initiative, branded the “Christmas Special Operations,” focused on curbing criminal activities and ensuring public safety during one of the busiest times of the year.
According to the police, the operations targeted armed robbers, pickpockets, and other individuals involved in activities that pose a threat to residents and visitors.
Authorities confirmed that the arrested individuals are in police custody, and investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of their involvement in criminal networks.
The Greater Accra Regional Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring that the city is safe for both citizens and visitors during Christmas and the New Year celebrations.
