NDC youth protest against DCE over alleged misconduct

Youth members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Nanton Constituency have taken to the streets to protest against the District Chief Executive (DCE), Abdul-Rahaman Rosina Zenabu.

The demonstration follows a petition by NDC constituency executives to President John Dramani Mahama, urging the immediate removal of the DCE.

The petition cited alleged conduct by the DCE that they claim is detrimental to party unity and could negatively affect the party’s electoral prospects in the area.

During the protest, demonstrators carried placards with inscrptions: “Enough of your husband takeover of Nanton DCE,” “Regional minister, help us save Nanton, or we’ll help you collapse Nanton, “Tampion and Nyoligu are the backbone of NDC,  and DCE stop disrespecting our chiefs,” among others.

The protesters are demanding urgent intervention from party leadership and regional authorities to address their grievances and restore harmony within the NDC at the constituency level.
