Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams
The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has cautioned the Black Stars to be wary of Croatia in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The team will kick off their Group L matches on June 17, 2026, against Panama in Toronto before traveling to face England in Boston, United States, on June 23.
Ghana will play their final group game in Philadelphia on June 27 to conclude their group matches and determine their fate depending on the results.

Reacting to the draw, the minister noted that the team he fears most in the group is Croatia, due to their experience in the Mundial and their ability to go far in the competition.
The Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency said that head coach Zlatko Dalić’s team’s dynamism in terms of tactics and adaptability is a threat the Black Stars should be prepared to face.
“Everybody knows how dangerous Croatia have been in previous World Cups. They have had different strategies. It doesn’t necessarily mean we should go and read their previous strategies as part of our preparation. They are a team that can change their style about three times within 90 minutes of play,” he told Sporty FM.
Meanwhile, head coach Otto Addo has said that even though England are the favorites in the group, he is confident the Black Stars will sail through to the next stage and avoid a group-stage exit.
