The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum has emphasised the need for politics to translate into tangible improvements in the lives of citizens, insisting that leadership must be measured by its ability to deliver real development and meaningful change.

Addressing party supporters and delegates during an engagement as part of his flagbearership campaign, the former Education Minister indicated that politics should not merely revolve around slogans and party colours, but must serve as a vehicle for social and economic transformation.

“Politics must impact lives. If our leadership does not improve the living conditions of the people, then we have failed,” Dr Adutwum stated.

“Ghanaians deserve leadership that solves problems, expands opportunities, and creates a future of hope for every family.”

He highlighted education, innovation, and human capital development as key pillars of his vision for national progress, noting that Ghana’s greatest resource is its people.

According to him, strategic investments in skills development, job creation, and technology will dramatically improve livelihoods and accelerate national development.

Dr Adutwum argued that leadership must go beyond promises, pointing out that effective governance requires courage, vision, and the ability to implement policies that address poverty, unemployment, and inequality.

He stressed that his track record in the education sector demonstrates his commitment to practical, impactful solutions.

The flagbearer aspirant urged party delegates to choose a leader who understands the needs of ordinary Ghanaians and has the capacity to drive transformative change.

He expressed confidence that the NPP can present a compelling agenda to the electorate if it rallies behind a candidate focused on service, development, and unity.
