A WOMAN at Mpasatia, a farming community in the Ashanti Region, nearly lost one of her ears during a fight with another female, the police has confirmed.
The victim, who has been identified as Theresa Mensah, reportedly had a slight misunderstanding with one Yaa Bimma, which eventually resulted in an open brawl.
In the course of the fisticuffs, Yaa Bimma was said have used a sharp object to cut the ear of Theresa, who bled profusely following the deep cut in her left ear.
The bloody incident happened on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 9 a.m., and the victim reported it to the Nkawie District Police to investigate before seeking medical help.
“Today 22/11/2025 at about 0900 hours, Theresa Mensah of Mpasatia, accompanied by Agatha Mensah of the same address, called at the station.
“The former, with a deep cut on the left ear, reported that a misunderstanding ensued between her and one Yaa Bimma,” Nkawie District Police report disclosed.
The police statement, which has been sighted by the paper, added that “in the course of the quarreling, Yaa Bimma used an unknown object to cut the ear of Theresa.”
According to the police, a medical form was issued to the complainant to seek medical attention, adding, “Efforts are being made to get the suspect to assist investigation.”
