Officials from the GFA visit injured Francis Abu after successful surgery
Ghanaians on social media have reacted happily to the news about midfielder Francis Abu’s successful surgery.
Francis Abu was injured in Ghana’s 2-0 defeat to Japan in the 2025 Kirin Challenge Cup at the Toyota Stadium on Friday, November 14.
The FC Toulouse midfielder suffered a fracture of two bones in the game but the Ghana Football Association in a statement confirmed that “Francis Abu has successfully undergone surgery, and the acute phase of his rehabilitation has commenced.”
“The Ghana Football Association, the management team of the Black Stars, and the technical team have agreed to let one physiotherapist stay with the player to help him with his intensive physiotherapy sessions during this acute phase of his rehabilitation,” part of the statement read.
